NRG Athletes Therapy Fitness is excited to announce major partnerships pertaining to 2019 hockey development programs. NRG is pleased to introduce Jean-Pierre Vigier and Vigier Hockey as the head development coach for NRG High Performance programs. NRG has also entered into a multi-year agreement with Kyle Prystupa and RISE Hockey to lead NRG’s hockey operations and youth development programs.
Vigier Hockey will provide instruction for bantam and midget/junior high performance programs, for both male and female categories. Jean-Pierre Vigier brings his vast professional playing experience with over 200 NHL games, AHL, IHL, NCAA, Swiss-A and incorporates this body of work into high performance training for local players on the ice. Vigier has supported various Hockey Manitoba development and mentorship programs along with other minor hockey associations. He has also completed the Hockey Canada Skills Coach certification program, which is an application-based program with limited entry annually. Personally mentored by Jean-Pierre, the Vigier Hockey staff share a passion to empower players from varying levels to be the best they can be. Vigier Hockey staff come from different playing experiences including Professional, Semi-Pro, NCAA, and Junior hockey.
RISE Hockey has been secured to oversee the general management and coordination of hockey operations within the NRG umbrella. RISE Hockey will also lead the instruction for youth development programs at the 8U, 10U, and 12U categories. Kyle Prystupa, head of RISE Hockey, brings over ten years of hockey development leadership from Hockey Manitoba and Hockey Canada programs. He served as Director of Operations of the Hockey Manitoba Program of Excellence ten times, including three terms with U-18 (Female) Team Manitoba and seven with U-16 (Male) Team Manitoba, additionally he served as Director of Operations for U-17 Team Canada in 2015. RISE Hockey will incorporate an element of sport science into NRG programs with RISE Sport Test, affiliate of Sport Testing Inc, who also work closely with WHL Prospect Combines, Calgary Flames, as well as local AA and AAA teams.

NRG offers long-term player development solutions with its youth development programming from ages 6-10, followed by advanced 11-12, and then high performance programs aged 13-20. NRG is also partnered with Tailor Goaltending who offer an exceptional approach to goaltending development for all ages.
